What are worker rights? Ask yourself three questions. First, were you not paid the legal minimum wage, not paid overtime or both? Second, did you have problems obtaining unemployment benefits? Third, have you been injured because of your job? What should you do to enforce your rights to minimum wage and overtime, unemployment benefits and Workers’ Compensation? Come to the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights, to help you learn your rights and how to enforce them. We can teach you about what your rights are and how to enforce them. We may be able to help you enforce those rights as well. You should know your rights. Remember, you do have rights as a worker. For more information please contact our Immigrant Worker Legal Services Initiative at 212-781-0355 ext. 303.
This project is funded through the Department of Youth and Community Development, Immigrant Opportunities Initiative.
